#GivingTuesday 2017

#GivingTuesday is 11.28.17 and Ride Illinois will participating in this global day dedicated to giving. Whether you’re a current member of Ride Illinois or have yet to join us, we hope you’ll consider supporting us on this special day.

As Ride Illinois marks its 25th year, we continue to make important strides for bicycling across the state. We’re advocating for more bikeways, trails, and safer road design. We’re helping towns become Bicycle Friendly Communities, and influencing state and local agencies whose decisions directly affect your bicycling conditions. And, we’re educating tens of thousands of Illinois residents on sharing our roads safely so you can get out and Ride Illinois.

We’re also pushing for favorable legislation that strengthens cyclists’ rights on the road. Ride Illinois’ state bicycle traffic bill HB1784 unanimously passed both Illinois legislative chambers and was signed into law earlier this year!

With your donations we can also continue to make progress in our campaign to get 3 feet passing state law signs placed on popular cyclist routes. Signs have been installed in Wayne Township, Lake County, Bartlett, Cary, Campton Hills, Edgar County, and Kane County.

Your #GivingTuesday donation will help us continue to make important strides for bicycling in Illinois in 2018! Together, we can strengthen our statewide influence and momentum toward a bicycle-friendly Illinois.
