Ride Illinois, your partner in bike advocacy, is excited to announce a new, community-focused event called Let’s Ride, Illinois! This event will take place between September 10 and 19. Let’s Ride, Illinois is a celebration of the freedom and benefits that riding a bike offers.
Ride Illinois’ goal for this inaugural event is 30 casual, family-friendly rides in communities of all sizes around the state. Help us generate some excitement about Let’s Ride, Illinois by sharing information with friends, family, and neighbors.
The community rides associated with Let’s Ride, Illinois are free of charge and open to all. This statewide event encourages adults and children from Rockford to Cairo (and all places in between) to enjoy a casual bike ride with their neighbors and experience their community by bike.
Illinois residents of all ages enjoy the simple pleasure of a bike ride. Consider registering a ride so your community can be involved in Let’s Ride, Illinois! We’re appealing to individuals, bike clubs, bike shops, and community organizations to step up to plan a ride in their community.
The first three communities to register rides are Brookfield, Elk Grove Village, and Rockford.
On the Let’s Ride, Illinois page, you’ll find Tools for Organizers – including the Organizer Toolkit, a poster template, event logo, social media graphics, and Zoom planning sessions on 8/23 and 8/31.
