Cycling During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Ride Illinois is closely monitoring the current public health crisis. We will continue to use the latest guidelines from the State of Illinois, Illinois Department of Public Health, and CDC when making any decisions related to cycling, group rides, and events.

The Restore Illinois program divides the state into 4 regions, each with the ability to independently move through a phased approach. Be sure to adhere to the guidelines established for your region. The five phases are:
When a region is in Phases 1 through 4, Ride Illinois recommends wearing a face mask if strict adherence to social distancing guidelines is not possible. Note that 6 feet may not be sufficient social distancing when cycling due to factors such as speed, weather, and proximity to others.
We’ll update this information, in accordance with public health guidelines, as updates are provided.
Ride & Event Calendar
The calendar below lists upcoming organized/charity rides, speaking engagements, and Ride Illinois appearances. We enjoy meeting with our members, bike clubs, and other groups that would like to discuss the benefits of cycling for recreation and transportation.
Organized and charity rides are listed in red.
Ride Illinois events and appearances are listed in gold.
Click here to have your organized ride, charity ride, or event added to the Ride & Event calendar. Rides and events that are in line with our mission will be added. Organized rides are a great way to explore and experience riding in a different part of the state!
