Ride Illinois works to increase safe interactions – and reduce resentment – between motorists and cyclists. There are serious public education gaps on bicycling safely and on driving in the presence of cyclists. In-depth courses about cycling are limited in reach given the time and resources needed to participate.
By taking a “Some (info) to Lots (of people)” approach, the quiz is helping to share bike safety information with more people. Since 2013, more than 150,000 people in Illinois have completed BikeSafetyQuiz!
The quiz is not just for individuals wishing to test and grow their knowledge. Schools, after-school programs, scouts, driver’s education instructors, and other institutions can administer it for groups of people. Cities and police departments can also use the quiz for public education and constructive enforcement.
Partnerships are critical to spreading the reach of the BikeSafetyQuiz.com. There are many ways one can incentivize adults and children to take BikeSafetyQuiz.com! Get creative and help Ride Illinois spread the word about this useful teaching aid.
We continue to broaden our reach via partnerships with various audiences including those listed below. If you’d like to receive more information or promotional materials to support the use of the quiz for your group, please contact us at info@rideillinois.org.
